University of California, San Francisco, 1500 Owens Clinic

Project Description

Cammisa + Wipf designed the bridging documents for this third-floor tenant improvement in the six-story UCSF Orthopaedic Institute at Mission Bay. Meeting OSHPD-3 requirements, this design-build project included 4 departments: executive health, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics/diabetes and neurology.

The 42,000-square-foot UCSF Orthopedic Institute brings together 125 faculty, specialists, nurses, researchers, technicians and physical therapists. The institute is UCSF’s first clinical step toward a $1.6 billion hospital complex in Mission Bay. It has 28 exam rooms, four operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms.

The UCSF Orthopaedic Institute treats orthopedic conditions ranging from disorders of the ankle and foot to hip and knee to spine and provides comprehensive services in one, fully equipped location.
