Broad campus experience. Deep systems knowledge.

We are your trusted advisor.

Cammisa + Wipf has built enduring relationships within the academic community for our work on projects in both K-12 educational facilities as well as on major university campuses. Each educational category has its own unique challenges, while both share the need to plan their projects around available funding and the designated purpose for that funding. Leveraging our broad campus experience and deep systems knowledge, we help our clients identify areas that need attention so they can prioritize their projects.

The number of technologies used within a school or across a university campus is increasing, with a corresponding increase in demand on the infrastructure that supports them. We have the vision and expertise to enable our clients’ infrastructures to meet this demand and to support future changes in technology.

Cammisa + Wipf has worked with the top 5 ranked university and college campuses in northern California for an average of 20 years each. Over the years, these clients have relied on us to develop, maintain, and renew their infrastructure systems. They look to Cammisa + Wipf as a trusted advisor in their systems strategy and planning, and in solving the complex challenges inherent in large, multi-building facilities.

Many K-12 facilities are being asked to comply with CHPS (Collaborative for High Performance Schools) as a condition of funding. California is one of 13 states that have adopted the CHPS guidelines, which address site and material selection, energy and water efficiency, indoor environmental quality and sustainable policies and operations. The goal is to create ‘high performance school’ facilities that enhance student performance and make education more enjoyable. Cammisa and Wipf is well-versed with CHPS requirements, and works closely with clients to help them meet the criteria.

In addition to designing MEP systems for educational facilities and campuses, Cammisa + Wipf provides master planning services. Our K-12 education clients include West Contra Costa and Berkeley Unified School Districts.
