Cammisa + Wipf works closely with clients to translate their strategic vision into long-range master plans. Our contributions to master plans are built on the insight we’ve developed during more than 50 years working on large campuses and complex infrastructures. We start the master planning process by listening. We need to understand the client’s mission, vision, goals and budget as well as changes anticipated in the communities they serve, life expectancy of individual buildings, trends in technology and other expected impacts. Our goal is to create a comprehensive, living document that addresses all future needs and guides the client’s decisions as they expand.
Our master planning experience has made us more knowledgeable about the systems and equipment that need to be specified now and in the future to ensure smooth transitions through each phase of campus development.
In addition to supporting campus master plans, we also develop system-specific master plans that explain how infrastructure systems are configured and establish specific standards for system modifications and expansion. Our deep knowledge of MEP systems enable us to predict future equipment and capacity needs to meet campus goals. Appropriately phased infrastructure development allows our clients to achieve their goals while controlling expenditures.
